Booking information

Our minimum stay is 4 nights except in low season. Occasionally, we may end up with fill-in nights, in which case we may take a shorter booking. In low season the minimum stay is 2 nights.

The Milking Parlour accommodates 4 adults in two double bedrooms with 1 shower room and 1 en-suite bathroom. However, there is a reduced price for one couple booking the accommodation as a 1-bedroom/shower room option.

Prices 2026

Summer: 16 May – 13 September 

Minimum 4 nights   1-bedroom option: £190 per night / £1,190 per week
Minimum 4 nights   2-bedroom option: £260 per night / £1,575 per week

Spring and Autumn: 1 April – 15 May / 14 September - 31 October 

Minimum 3 nights   1-bedroom option: £170 per night / £1,090 per week
Minimum 3 nights   2-bedroom option: £230 per night / £1,470 per week

Winter: 1 November – 31 March 2027

Minimum 2 nights   1-bedroom option: £165 per night / £980 per week
Minimum 2 nights   2-bedroom option: £230 per night / £1,435 per week

Please note: we take a £250 security deposit on the payment of final balance. This is returned within 7 days of the end of your stay subject to deductions for damage or breakages at the owner’s discretion.

Dogs
We welcome well-behaved dogs – please tell us if you would like to bring your pooch (or pooches) before booking. There is a charge of £25 for each dog for stays of 4 nights or less and £50 for each dog for stays of 5 – 7 nights/per week. This is to cover extra cleaning.

Standard booking and cancellation terms
25% deposit on booking and the balance 4 weeks before arrival, plus a £250 damage deposit.

If, following booking, you would like to reschedule your stay, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to arrange a suitable alternative, subject to availability.

All cancellations will be subject to an administration charge of £100.

If the booking is cancelled 28+ days before arrival, then there is a full refund, minus the administration charge.

If the booking is cancelled less than 28 before arrival, there is no refund. However, if the Milking Parlour can be relet for the same rental period at the same rate or higher, then we may be able to refund you less the £100 administration charge.

Any changes to your booking must be made in writing by email. A booking can only be regarded as amended or cancelled on receipt of our confirmation. 

We recommend that you take out suitable holiday insurance in case you need to cancel.

Bookings and Payment

• All bookings should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email.
• Payment can be made by bank transfer, debit or credit card at the time of your booking. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the payment has been received.
• Little Norlington Barn only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age.
• Little Norlington Barn reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
• The prices featured on the website are not binding; Little Norlington Barn reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking, you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the confirmation invoice is binding.

Age Policy and Children

• As guests come for peace and quiet and because of the nature of our buildings, we have an over 16-year-old policy, unless by prior arrangement. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Arrival and Departure

• Please advise us of your intended arrival time and update us en-route. Please ensure you plan your journey to arrive no later than 9:00 pm.
• Guests are requested to vacate The Milking Parlour by 10:00 am on the date of their departure.

Cancellation Policy

• A 25% deposit is required on booking. The balance is due 4 weeks before arrival, plus a £250 damage deposit.

• In the event that we need to cancel your holiday, we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us by you within 14 days of notifying you.

Damage Deposit

• A £250 damage deposit is required at the time of paying your balance. This will be returned to you within 7 days of your departure, provided the property is returned in the same condition as found, with no breakages or damage.
• Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to the property, which will be charged at 130% of fair replacement value or necessary cleaning.
• The cost of replacing keys lost by guests is charged at £20 each.

Dogs

• We welcome well-behaved dogs at The Milking Parlour by prior arrangement only. There is a small charge per dog per stay. Please contact us before booking to discuss bringing a dog. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property at any time.
• Dogs must be kept under control at all times. Owners are liable for any damage caused by their dog. Please clean up after your dog. A bin is provided.

General

• No guests or dogs apart from those on the booking are permitted to stay overnight at The Milking Parlour.
• Use of the facilities at Little Norlington Barn is the responsibility of the guest and is done so at their own risk. Little Norlington Barn accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage to your property that may arise from your stay at Little Norlington Barn.
• We ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 8am in consideration of our neighbours and reserve the right to request any guest to leave in the event of unacceptable behaviour.
• By booking and coming to Little Norlington Barn, you agree to be responsible for your own welfare and any children in your care, and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to facilities and rooms.
• There is no smoking or vaping permitted anywhere within the property or grounds. Anyone found smoking may be asked to leave. Any evidence of smoking in The Milking Parlour after departure will result in a £100 cleaning charge. Please do not leave any lit candles, lanterns or fires unattended.
• Guests are welcome to use the free wireless broadband service we provide, but we will not be held responsible for any loss of service or damage to guest devices or data.
